There is a massive sunspot complex on the surface of the sun right now pointed directly at earth. It is so large it is easily visible with the naked eye. I took my handy sun viewer out this AM and proved the point. It's about 15 earth diameter's in size. Here's a photo from spaceweather.com. If you don't have a sun viewer, wait until tonight so you don't hurt your eyes! :-)
